Zwölf Jahre habe ich in der Automobil-Vorserie Projekte begleitet. Ich bin kein Softwareentwickler. Und trotzdem baue ich gerade meine eigenen kleinen Apps.

Das hier ist der erste Newsletter darüber. Kein Reiseblog, kein Lifestyle. Sondern das, was ich mit KI tatsächlich anstelle — und was du damit vielleicht auch anstellen könntest.

Warum ich das mache

Ganz ehrlich: nicht für Reichweite, nicht für Geld, nicht für Abozahlen. Sondern weil ich etwas Neues lernen, echte Erfahrung sammeln und mich weiterentwickeln will. Und — ganz wichtig — mich mit Freunden, Kollegen und neuen Menschen darüber austauschen.

Ich glaube, wir stehen an einem Wendepunkt. Jahrelang galt: eine Plattform für alle, eine App für Millionen, jeder passt sich der Software an. Ich glaube, das kippt gerade. KI macht es möglich, dass Software sich dem Menschen anpasst — statt umgekehrt. Individuelle Lösungen, gebaut für genau einen Zweck.

Und das Spannendste daran: Man muss dafür kein Entwickler mehr sein und kann ganz neue Rollen einnehmen. Genau das will ich hier zeigen — nicht behaupten, sondern selbst bauen. Öffentlich, mit allem, was funktioniert und was nicht.

Was ich schon gebaut habe

Ein erster Beweis: eine App, um über Distanz mit den Menschen verbunden zu bleiben, die mir wichtig sind. Einfach genug, dass wirklich jeder sie bedienen kann. Alben, Fotos, kurze Kommentare — Nähe, ohne dass alle bei den großen Plattformen landen.

Das hat soweit geklappt. Wir nutzen es gemeinsam seit den ersten Tagen, einige hundert Fotos sind online. Viele kleine Verbesserungen sind schon eingeflossen, täglich kommen neue dazu oder werden Bugs behoben. Alles innerhalb einer Woche.

Dann kam der nächste Test. Ich habe dieselbe technische Basis genommen und ein völlig neues Frontend draufgesetzt — für einen ganz anderen Zweck: vorgegebene „Missionen", kleine Aufgaben, die ich mit Fotos und kurzen Berichten dokumentiere. Auch diese App ist online und funktioniert. Hierfür habe ich nur noch ein paar Stunden gebraucht. Einfach verblüffend.

For twelve years I ran projects in automotive pre-series. I'm not a software developer. And yet I'm building my own small apps right now.

This is the first newsletter about it. No travel blog, no lifestyle. Just what I actually build with AI — and what you might be able to build too.

Why I'm doing this

Honestly: not for reach, not for money, not for subscriber counts. I want to learn something new, gather real experience, keep growing. And — this matters — to exchange thoughts with friends, colleagues and new people about it.

I think we're at a turning point. For years the rule was: one platform for everyone, one app for millions, everyone adapts to the software. I think that's tipping right now. AI makes it possible for software to adapt to the person — instead of the other way around. Individual solutions, built for exactly one purpose.

The exciting part: you no longer have to be a developer to do this, and you can take on entirely new roles. That's what I want to show here — not claim it, but actually build. In the open, with everything that works and everything that doesn't.

What I've already built

A first proof: an app to stay connected across distance with the people who matter to me. Simple enough that really anyone can use it. Albums, photos, short comments — closeness without everyone landing on the big platforms.

It worked. We've been using it together since the very first days, several hundred photos are online. Lots of small improvements have already landed, new ones ship every day, and bugs get fixed as they surface. All within one week.

Then came the next test. I took the same technical base and put a completely new frontend on it — for an entirely different purpose: pre-defined "missions", small tasks I document with photos and short reports. That app is online and working too. This time I only needed a few hours. Genuinely astonishing.

Built the tech once. Two completely different apps online. That's what I mean by individual software. Details on both apps will come in their own newsletters and posts here on time4more.ai.
